Peekaboo ("the app", "the Service", "we", "us") is a live air-traffic radar web app run by an individual developer, not a registered company. By using the app, creating an optional account, or subscribing to Premium, you agree to these terms.
You accept these terms simply by using the Service. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Service. We may update these terms as the Service changes (see section 10) — continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Peekaboo shows public ADS-B/AIS broadcast data via airplanes.live and adsb.fi, or via the commercially-licensed ADS-B Exchange (free to try via a small shared daily allowance, unlimited with Premium/Pro), plus community ATC audio via LiveATC, aviation weather via VATSIM's METAR mirror and Open-Meteo, Dutch precipitation/wind data via Buienradar, a free precipitation-radar overlay via RainViewer, airport/runway reference data from OurAirports.com and OpenStreetMap, flight-route lookups via adsbdb.com, aircraft photos via planespotters.net, and aviation/travel news headlines via AVweb and Skift. This is a hobbyist situational-awareness tool, not intended for navigation, flight planning, or any operational or safety-critical decision. Positions can be delayed, incomplete, or (rarely) spoofed, since ADS-B itself has no built-in authentication.
For any flight actually flying to or from Amsterdam Schiphol, real gate, pier, terminal, and baggage-belt data is available free to every user, via Schiphol's own Public Flight API — never gated behind Premium. An optional Premium subscription (see section 5) adds that same class of data (gate, terminal, baggage-claim, delay/cancellation) for flights everywhere else, plus, in the Trip hub, real Google Maps Routes API drive-time and traffic-aware "leave by" estimates — it never gates or reduces the free tier itself.
The Book panel links to and/or embeds a third-party flight/hotel search service (Aviasales, via the Travelpayouts affiliate program, at the subdomain book.peekaboo.fyi), and links out to two more third-party travel services via the same Travelpayouts affiliate program: GetTransfer (airport transfer booking) and Airalo (travel eSIM data plans). An aircraft's info card may also show a link to AirHelp (flight delay/cancellation compensation claims), shown only when that flight's status is actually delayed, cancelled, or diverted, and — for a tracked flight you're following — a link to request a ride via Uber, shown only once that flight has actually landed. Peekaboo also links to Klook (tours, activities, and attraction tickets) via the same Travelpayouts affiliate program, and to Expedia (hotel search) via the separate Expedia Group Creator Toolbox affiliate program. A private/business jet's info card may show a link to Villiers Jets (private jet charter quotes) via their own separate affiliate program. Peekaboo is not a party to, and is not the merchant of record for, any booking, purchase, ride, or claim you make through any of these services — each transaction is solely between you and the respective third-party provider, governed by their own terms. We may earn a referral commission if you use a link we provide; this never affects the price you pay.
Some app-wide monetization (e.g. the Travelpayouts Drive script) may insert affiliate links into other travel-related mentions in the app — see our Privacy Policy for what this does and how it's disclosed.
Creating an Account is entirely optional — the Service is fully usable without one. If you create one:
The free tier remains free indefinitely, with no time limit and no feature reduction. An optional Premium subscription (currently $4.99/month, auto-renewing, cancel anytime) unlocks the additional flight-status data described in section 3. Payment is processed by Paddle.com, who act as the merchant of record for this purchase — your payment details are handled entirely by Paddle, never by us directly. See our Refund Policy for the full cancellation and refund terms, including the 14-day first-purchase refund window.
Don't use the Service to circumvent the terms of the underlying data providers (airplanes.live, adsb.fi, and others listed in our Privacy Policy), attempt to scrape or resell data obtained through the app, automate requests against it beyond normal interactive use, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
The app itself — its source code, design, and branding — is not licensed for copying, redistribution, or reuse (in whole or substantial part) in another product or service without our prior written permission. This is separate from the data-provider restriction above: even where the underlying public data is freely available, this specific implementation isn't. The Peekaboo name, wordmark, and glyph mark are our own brand assets.
The Service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Data accuracy, availability, and completeness are not guaranteed — third-party data sources (and the third-party booking service linked from the Book panel) can be delayed, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable, and we do not control them. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service, including reliance on its data for any real-world decision, or from any transaction you complete through a third-party service linked from the Service.
You may stop using the Service, or request deletion of your Account, at any time (see section 4). We may suspend or terminate access to the Account system for a violation of section 6, though the free radar features remain available with or without an Account. Sections 7, 8, and 11 survive any termination.
We may update these terms as the Service changes — this page's own "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
